Sheep Electrical Service & Solutions was founded in 2024 by Jeffrey P. Mouton, bringing together two disciplines that shaped his professional life: the attentiveness of luxury hospitality and the technical rigor of the electrical trade. He envisioned a company that would provide more than expert repairs and installations—a company known for listening carefully, communicating clearly, and treating every property with genuine respect.
Jeffrey’s appreciation for exceptional service began in 2004, while attending college and working at some of New Orleans’ most respected establishments, including Rubenstein’s, The Windsor Court, and The Soniat House. Those years placed him in the service of high-profile guests, including celebrities, international royalty, and a sitting United States president. More importantly, they taught him that a remarkable customer experience is created through preparation, discretion, consistency, and attention to the details others might overlook.
Behind that hospitality career was a curiosity that had been present since childhood. Jeffrey was always taking apart electronics to understand how they worked and building remote-controlled cars for the satisfaction of making something function properly. Seeking a more technically challenging path, he returned to that early fascination and joined IBEW Local 130 as an apprentice in 2012.
Over the course of the five-year program, Jeffrey completed 1,200 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of hands-on training through the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. He passed the journeyman examination during his third year and became a licensed electrician in 2015.
With more than a decade of hands-on experience, Jeffrey has worked across the industrial, commercial, and residential sides of the electrical trade. His background includes high-voltage installations at critical facilities such as NASA and the Sewerage & Water Board of New Orleans, major commercial work at University Medical Center New Orleans, and carefully executed repairs, upgrades, and installations for homeowners throughout Jefferson Parish and Greater New Orleans.
Although the scale and complexity of those projects have varied considerably, Jeffrey’s standard has remained the same: listen carefully, troubleshoot thoroughly, explain the options clearly, and complete every detail with precision. That philosophy now guides Sheep Electrical. His hospitality background shaped how customers are cared for; his electrical training shaped how the work is performed. Together, they form the thoughtful, dependable service experience Sheep Electrical was created to provide.
